During installation or update of our product, you might see an error message similar to this:

Unpacking the package…

Installing the plugin…

Destination folder already exists. wp-content/plugins/nextend-smart-slider3-pro/

Plugin install failed.

Solution

This problem happens, because a previous installation or update went wrong, our folder got created, but the files in it weren't. You should go to the FTP of your website and delete the folder:

💡 Tip: If you're not sure about your FTP credentials, contact your host and ask them!
  • Free version: wp-content/plugins/smart-slider-3
  • Pro version: wp-content/plugins/nextend-smart-slider3-pro

After this, do a new installation. If you would still have a problem after this, follow the FTP installation. With a program like Filezilla you can make sure, that all your files are getting uploaded.
